The ballet tells the tragic story of the captivating gypsy Carmen and her lover Don José, whom she leaves for the young bullfighter Escamillo. Their intertwined destinies—and Carmen's heartbreaking death at the hands of Don José—unfold with an overwhelming sense of inevitability.

Marco Pesta's striking stage design and bold, expressive choreography create a theatrical world where classical tradition blends seamlessly with contemporary stage artistry.
