The Zurich Convention Center is located in the heart of the city on the Limmat. Where tourists from all over the world come to visit, where one of the most famous shopping streets in the world is located and where even locals are always fascinated by the view. Regional guests can reach us easily on foot or by public transport. International guests arriving via the airport can also reach the Zurich Convention Center within a very short time. There are numerous wonderful hotels around the Zurich Convention Center where our guests can stay at preferential rates. In addition, our hotel is only separated from the Swiss mountain panorama by Lake Zurich, which our guests can enjoy a wonderful view of from our terrace.

A building with history

The Zurich Convention Center was built between 1937 and 1939. This makes it an impressive architectural witness to the past. Between 2017 and 2021, the Zurich Convention Center was extensively renovated and finally reopened in September 2021. Since then, our building has offered an even higher standard that can keep up with the international competition.

During its decades-long history, the Zurich Convention Center has welcomed numerous stars and guests from all over the world. Among them Tina Turner, Ella Fitzgerald, Udo Jürgens and Deep Purple. Nobel Prize winners in literature, US presidents and personalities such as the Dalai Lama have also visited the Zurich Convention Center.
Our hotel not only combines tradition with modernity in architectural terms. It is important to us that the Zurich Convention Center is completely barrier-free. All event rooms in the building are therefore directly accessible by wheelchair, wheelchair spaces are available and guide dogs for the blind are permitted.

We are delighted to have received several awards and certificates in recent years. These include awards for our sustainable work. Events at Zurich Convention Center are climate-neutral from A to Z and we rely on regional sources - from the energy to the food we serve.

However, our certificates are more than just a document we can use to prove our credentials. They prove that the processes, procedures and responsibilities are practiced in an absolutely professional manner, regularly reviewed and continuously improved. And last but not least, they are also proof to our employees that their daily commitment does not go unnoticed and cannot be taken for granted.

It is not only our state-of-the-art technology, which is virtually limitless, that ensures everything runs smoothly, but also our in-house catering. As we prepare all food and drinks for events on site, there is no complicated transportation or interruption to food refrigeration. Our guests can also enjoy first-class gastronomy in the LUX Restaurant & Bar. The culinary offerings are inspired by our vibrant home city of Zurich and the ingredients are sourced from the region whenever possible.

The occasions for a visit to the Zurich Convention Center are many and varied.
