Goran Bregović is a rock star, composer and sound magician all rolled into one. With his legendary Wedding and Funeral Band, the Sarajlija native brings an explosive mixture of Balkan folk, Roma fanfares, Bulgarian choirs and pop to the stage - powerful, ecstatic and deeply emotional. He became known as the frontman of the Yugoslavian rock band Bijelo Dugme and later composed iconic film music for Emir Kusturica's Time of the Gypsies and Underground. He also creates impressive works away from the stage, such as the oratorio Three Letters from Sarajevo.
